That is incorrect, Perseus is the one who killed a man with a discus, and that was his grandfather not his father. His father was Zeus, would be a bit hard to kill Zeus with a discus.
IAMSORRYFORTHENECRO but when I saw this I got agitated and just had to correct it.
I'm pretty sure Oedipus's dad wasn't wandering the roads alone. Didn't Oedipus kill his dad and all of his dad's guards? Its been forever since I've read it, but I'm pretty sure Oedipus killed all the guards, thus increasing his badassery.
You're probably right! It's been five years since we read that story, too, in English class, so I'm not too big on the details, but that would make more sense ey, rofl.
I just thought you should know, even though it's a bit late. He killed his father in the olympic games...discus throw went into the stands and decapitated a man...who happened to be his father. Also I'm loving your comics so far, they're hilarious. (If I'm wrong I blame Sophocles)
I don't understand the sphynx mini-joke. 4 in the morning because she's with a man. 2 in the afternoon because she's walking the streets. But why 3 in the evening?
The "day" is actually an entire life, and the answer is a human being. Walks on four in the morning, ie when they were a baby and crawled. Afternoon: Two, on legs. Healthy & adult. Evening: Cane, as they are old. I still think it's a weird kinda riddle, but meh. xP
Oh, wait, you mean the whore thing? xDD;; Re-read after I typed all that... Heh, well people who had never heard it before can get it now I guess! xD
I totally think random chick was right. XDDD That makes the most sense, and made me giggle. XD
In Greek Mythology there was only one sphinx ever mentioned and it was this one, specifically a female with a lion's body and eagle wings. The Egyptian sphinxes were different and could be represented by either sex. 🙂

I don't know! It wasn't supposed to make sense, haha. That's a great interpretation, though!
3 since the person uses a cane. So legs = 2, cane = 1, legs + cane = 3.
maybe the 3 in the evening = pole-dancing? fitting with the whore theme kinda but myeh idk
I think three in the evening because she's giving a blowjob on her knees.
kevinzana was right, but to explain it further:
The "day" is actually an entire life, and the answer is a human being. Walks on four in the morning, ie when they were a baby and crawled. Afternoon: Two, on legs. Healthy & adult. Evening: Cane, as they are old. I still think it's a weird kinda riddle, but meh. xP

Oops! Meant to reply above, sorry! xDD;;;
Maybe because she has a penis inside her?
The third is her dildo.
Oh Oedipus...what a motherf*cker...
I see what you did there!
the sphinx reminds me of the girl they tried to clone
Were sphinxes always girls? I don't think they ever specified.

HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA
the sphinx is so ugly!
hahhahhahaahahaha

Wow...
that was one of the stupidest things I've ever read...
ITS GREEK MYTHOLOGY!
shut up, my mind had just been blown by halflife2
Aye, but to be fair, this story WAS made famous by a play of the same name . . . Transcripted by Sophocles! Woo!
You guys are so silly. Much love!
lmao @ the sphinx
Oh my god, Johnny!
did you get your ass back?
